It's a great product, it has a great brand reputation and loyal fans, so how do we help Blistex launch new products and not be seen solely as a heritage brand?
Blistex is the only brand in the market that can credibly claim lip-care expertise, so we created a campaign that would enable it to own this territory. We developed the proposition “Blistex – the science behind beautiful lips” and, on a small budget, built an integrated approach to reach as many consumers as possible. We’ve delivered a TV ad campaign, secured PR coverage in all the major consumer magazines and successfully ran idents on Daybreak.
We have also launched new products to a younger audience and plan and implement their PR and social media for all their ranges.
Sales of Blistex Intensive Moisturiser climbed by +5.3% year on year against a -6.4% overall market decrease. In the last three years we have grown their Facebook community to almost 40,000 likes and have generated over 150 pieces of media coverage in national, consumer and regional media.
