What a busy time December and January have been, not least for the Energy Networks Association team.
Since the launch of 105, a new three digit phone number to get information about power cuts, in September, the team have become avid storm chasers and as such have enjoyed generating some fantastic coverage across national titles with media alerts to raise awareness of the number during storms.
The Christmas period brought with it Storm Barbara and Storm Conor both of which caused power cuts across the north of Scotland and North East England.
In order to make sure the public continued to receive the message about 105, the team contacted news publications over the festive period (including Christmas Day) and secured over 80 pieces of coverage including pieces in The Telegraph, The Daily Mail, The Mirror, The Daily Express, Huffington Post, BBC Online, and ITV News.
